The following special programs that lead to teacher licensure are designed for college graduates in math, science and related fields.
Bemidji State University: FasTrack
The FasTrack program is designed to be completed in two summers with one intervening year. Students take online courses and complete student teaching with Bemidji State University. Requires three weekend meetings per year in Minneapolis. Minnesota Department of Education reviews transcripts and portfolio to determine whether other licensure requirements have been met through the college major.

MN TAPP works with candidates hired on a limited license and assigned their own classrooms. Program combines intensive summer instruction and field experiences, seminars during the school year, mentoring, and online learning to lead to full licensure.

Online Math and Science Licensure
Education core courses are online. Methods courses in mathematics and science include online assignments and three Saturday on-campus meetings. Student teaching arranged in a school district of the student's choice. Advisors direct students to online or locally-offered courses to complete content requirements. Students who start in the summer can expect to complete the education core, methods courses, and student teaching in two calendar years.
