Minnesota State University, Mankato, Center for School-University Partnerships offers an Intercultural Speaker Program for schools. Interested schools can request a speaker on a particular topic or from a particular background (International, multi-cultural, or other area of diversity). Working with other campus organizations, CSUP will arrange for a speaker to visit. Speaker resources include undergraduate and graduate students and University faculty and staff. Cultural events on campus are also a possibility for topic enrichment. This service is for any school or classroom. State Report Puts High Premium on Writing Skills
Despite the high value that state employers put on writing skills, a significant number of their employees do not meet states' expectations. Providing writing training costs taxpayers nearly a quarter of a billion dollars annually, according to an estimate based on a survey released by the National Commission on Writing.

Published by the Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Conservation Volunteer engages, entertains, and educates readers with a lively mix of photographs and stories about Minnesota's woods, waters, and wildlife.
Kid-friendly young naturalists stories introduce young readers age 10 and up to Minnesota's natural treasures -- from agates to zooplankton. Free teachers guides are available for some stories.
Single copies are free to Minnesotans.
